Reviews of Springwood, QLD
"Nice area and great bushlands"
I love Springwood. It has everything on top of that real estate is still affordable. We bought here at the start of the year and was the best discussion. Springwood has everything from small shops to major ones. What is best is that the streets still have the suburban family feeling. Best place to raise a family.

"Great connectivity , beautiful parks"
The first place I moved into when I migrated form overseas. Love the connectivity and the beautiful parks. Heaps of good restaurants in the vicinity.
"Very central suburb"
I love that everything is available at Springwood. We just moved to the area and we were surprised how nice the area is. Its close to the gold coast and Brisbane. Once the road works are done on the high way it will even be a much better place to live in.. Loving it
The forest is a bonus
"Nice area"
nice area to live in. very convenient to everywhere and everything. No crime since i moved in 2 years ago which is assuring
"Closer to Brisbane CBD than many Brisbane suburbs."
We bought in Springwood after testing the commute from some eastern Brisbane suburbs into the city and finding with traffic Springwood took the same or less time. Living in the plateau area of Springwood, it's very quiet with an almost country feel being in amongst two conservation parks and with the council maintaining a green and leafy landscape. Mostly baby boomers at the moment, but noticing more young professionals moving in.

"Surprisingly great (and friendly)"
I lived in Springwood for a year and then moved back to an inner city suburb and due to circumstances I'm now back at Springwood. Being a snob, I was a bit worried, but I've been blown away by how nice everyone is, the local school (Chatswood Hills) is amazing with beautiful gardens, the green spaces are impressive, the shopping centre (I use Chatswood Hills and the hyper dome) have everything - one is small and you get to know people and the other is impressively big with everything. Prices are cheaper. EVERYTHING is close by - Ikea, Freedom, every home renovators delight store and so much more. We're also closer to the coast for weekends at the beach. I really do like it here and recommend it as a family friendly suburb with a lot of green space and convenience. The only downside is that all levels of government are not prepared to do the work and get the M1 fixed. So there's a bottle neck which can get rotten at times. The bus system while good, could be better. The Council were going to upgrade Springwood to create plaza's and creative precincts, but they haven't actioned any of this vision that was created 5 - 8 years ago, which is a shame as the town centre area is a bit tacky and ugly and could offer so much more given some leadership and vision availability. But overall, this area is quite lovely - definitely check it out.
Great for
- Great environment
- Great People
- Great places
Not great for
- M1 gets clogged
- Not enough express buses directly to/from Springwood

"Spring into Springwood!"
I've lived around Springwood for a number of years, including going to primary school and visiting the local shopping villages around Chatswood Rd. The people are extremely friendly, only the slimmest chance of drama happening, but it is such a peaceful place to go for walks, grab a coffee, relax and shopping. Come visit Springwood if you haven't already! :)

"A good place to raise a family"
Nothing is too far from Springwood, great shopping nearby, excellent primary schools (although the secondary schooling is average). A nice leafy suburb with the Springwood forest park and some houses with lovely views. You can still pick up a family home here for under $400,000 (just). There are numerous childrens parks but some are a bit run down. The public transport can be a bit of an issue - local buses which are unreliable, the 555 from Springwood Station is more reliable but there is very limited parking, an unsafe drop off zone, and sometimes you get 2 straight after each other and none for 20 minutes. There are numerous restaurants in the area, but not much in the way of nightlife. On the whole, a nice place to live, convenient to the Gold Coast and the City, with everything you need nearby. We have lived here for 5 years and have seen very minimal crime and experienced none.

"I like the area"
I really like Springwood, residential areas are quiet and very neat and tidy. A lot of families like the area as good schools are plenty access to freeways and motorways north south east and west are minutes away. Commute to city is 15-20 mins on a good day and public transport is so easy with the busway and new development happening in the heart of the shopping district. I really like this area!

"Springwood - Good palce for first homebuyes and young families."
Springwood is a southern suburb of Brisbane and is in the Logan area in the south east. Springwood is a residential and commercial suburb with many businesses located here as well as housing. There is good shopping with shopping malls with shops for all your needs and specialty shops as well as stores dotting the streets. There are some good schools in Springwood both primary and secondary. This suburb can also be called the gateway to the Daisy Hill State Forest where you will be able to walk the many trails, go mountain biking, picnic and some beautiful birds. Property prices in Springwood are still very affordable young families and first home buyers.
