Pretty extraordinary food. No foodie can visit Brisbane without spending time here. You could spend an entire month eating and still would not scratch the surface of the delicious cuisines.

Market square especially is unique and my favourite place in the Brisbane area

Surprised to see Sunnybank so far down given it is now one of the most recognised cultural hubs of Brisbane.

Market Square is hands down the best night out. it is a food paradise! One of the best in Queensland if not top 5 in all of Australia. You could go to Market Square every night of the week and have a good time.

Transportation is solid with all train, bus and road options. housing prices are reflective of the state of the market + the huge potential upside and the elite schooling options.

Let's get the bad stuff out of the way:

It's FILTHY. The residents here have zero respect for the planet and their neighbours, so I constantly have surgical masks and rubbish blowing into my yard.

Despite housing being so absurdly expensive, there's a lot of domestic violence and fairly high property crime. It's fairly isolating and I've found that some people can be quite hostile to whites here.

Access to food, public transport, services is great, but there's zero community to speak of.

Unfriendly people, overcrowded, to many investors and overpriced houses due to hype by real estate agents. Crime going down and not as many attacks due to larger police presence but still unsafe to walk at night. Great public transport and restaurants, but I would never catch a train at night. Called Slummybank lately. In my 20 years there have just watched a beautiful suburb go downhill, have been broken into, car stolen from local train station, have had to call police on a few occasions due to hearing people in the yard. Glad to finally be out!

Sunnybank is a tremendous suburb on the southside of Brisbane affording great access to the Gold Coast south and fast access to Brisbane's CBD.

Reasonable prices justify its sought after status appealing to young families with affordable restaurants, diverse shopping opportunities and well regarded full facilities public schools.

My experiences living in Sunnybank sometime ago were all positive and especially impressed with the neighbourly feel of the community.

Great place for families. Diverse and the place to go for Asian food.

I have lived in Sunnybank for 15 years. Great foods, tons of choices, excellent MacGregor State School, Strong Sunnybank Rugby Club with great facilities right on the foot steps. Arm Length to Griffith University, Sunnybank Private Hospital, QEII hospital, Garden City Shopping Centre and only 12 mins drive to Brisbane CBD via M3. Multi Culture and Loving Community. Convenient Public transport buses and trains close by, where Sunnybank has everything you are asking for...

Overpriced houses and the whole suburb is unsafe. Lots of crime in the area including robbery and break ins.

Everything you could ever want in a suburb. A ton of restaurants $10-15 dollar meals. A primary and high school. Buses goes everywhere you want to go. 129, 130, 132, 133, 136, 137, 139, 140, 599. (Buses to griffith, qut, uq, city) There is a bus every 5 minutes in the morning. A ton of shops, strong competition in super markets means lower prices for you. Close to gym, bowling, pool, cinema, sporting clubs. One of the few places where you can get access to asian super markets. Got everything at your door step.

I've lived in Sunnybank since December 2010 and I have found it a great place to live. Everything you need is here; a tonne of restaurants, lots of shopping options including Sunnybank Plaza and a Westfield only 5 minutes away; cinemas, universities nearby, excellent public transport options with the 130, 139, 150, and great circle lines plus Altandi and Sunnybank Station. There are also bike ways nearby in Macgregor for cyclists. I live a two streets back from Mains road and don't hear any of the noise except for when trucks use compression brakes. I can't think of anywhere else with everything at your fingertips (except for maybe the CBD, haha).
