Imagine getting fined for being parked in your own driveway, because you can bet on your life it'll happen. You'll be fined for basically anything they feel will earn them money. This place is frankly disgusting. Where is that money even going, other than the pockets of the councillors and parking inspectors? It sure isn't going towards fixing the rampant homeless problem, or multiple meth head neighbours that will sell their stock right under the noses of both the council and the police.

I really loved living in Victoria Park due to the fantastic amenities and the ability to walk "almost everywhere." Whether its the local cafe, shops, restaurants or catch a bus to the city or an event at Optus Stadium. It also has one of the most supportive communities I have experienced. I really miss the convenience of everything on offer here.

Victoria Park is a vibrant suburb offering all essentials and night life. For a suburb close to the city it’s fairly quiet in the streets (depends which part of Vic Park).
It’s slowly gentrifying with newer, renovated housing and restaurants and cafes. The town do a good job at maintaining a community feel.
It will be nice to see the empty car park lots become housing or parks. They are an eye sore and waste of space.
Victoria Park reminds me of Richmond in Victoria. It’s a mix of demographics which creates character.
Richmond is now one of the best and expensive suburbs in Melbourne.

Victoria Park is a suburb that offers inner City living at it's best at an affordable price. Within close proximity to South Perth and the Swan River Foreshore its full of lifestyle choices. The Cafe' strip offers every cuisine imaginable, it's like having the world's smorgasbord at your doorstep. There is good coffee and some great cafe's. The Raphael Park precinct is highly sought after, and the prices generally reflect this. There are some lovely character homes along with new in the area. The government schools and private schools are equally popular, Kent St, Senior High School (Government), offers Specialist courses to students who have proven aptitudes in Aviation, Fashion & Design, CoRE Science and Cricket. Great public Transport. Approximately 5km's from Perth CBD. Close to the airport, Crown Casino, and the new Optus Stadium.

Having lived in Victoria Park since 2005, I can vouch for it's liveability, convenience and community spirit.
The suburb is a real mix of young, old, familes, professional, owner occupiers and rentals.

The Albany Highway Cafe strip, runs through the suburb, we are so lucky to be spoilt for choice when it comes to cafes, restaurants, bars and eateries of all cuisines....

A nice distance from the city, with a vibrant vibe. It's an appealing suburb at first glance but that's the false sense of security taking hold. I lived here just before the pandemic. Jumbo jets roaring over head at least 25 an hour. Early wake ups at 3 for red eye flights. Yes its nice at the moment and once the travel restrictions lift anyone who paid the extra 100 thousand will be crying. Double glazing and lots of insulation and avoid Berwick street, McMillan street, Kent street and the other side of Albany Hwy. Can't wait to escape it when all goes back to normal. The rodents and cockroaches are vile and there is actually a serious problem with a particular demographic that makes going to the playground at john McMillan Park unbearable (next to east vic park library).

best suburb for food! many different kinds of restaurants around. on lazy days, you can get it delivered too. a few buses to and from the city. many shops and services. students, professionals, families, retirees live here. it has a few small parks right next to the road. some noisy neighbors on the weekend; if you're unlucky, sometimes it goes until 2am. many of the buildings are old and don't have good sound-proofing. small and large cockroaches, especially when you are on the ground floor. some mice as well.

I often use public transport and often see used hypodermic syringes outside Vic Park Train Station, it really concerns me because Guide Dogs are often seen in this area.

Vic Park is one of the very few suburbs in Perth that residents can live without a car. A lot of residents cycle to work in the CBD.

For someone like me who work in the Northern suburb, I just need to catch my bus/ train to Perth Underground station or Elizabeth Quay station to do the interchange. It is quick, nice and easy.

Unlike other suburbs that rely heavily on the freeway, Vic Park has its own bridge "causeway" to connect to the city. The bridge never get congested (even in peak hours). This makes the bus journey very smooth and on-time.

If you love city life but want to live in a homely & quiet suburb, Vic Park will be better options than the suburbs on the North side of the CBD (e.g. Northbridge, Highgate, East Perth, etc.).
