Wavell Heights, QLD 4012

Close to Westfield Chermside. Close to the Airport. Close to the City. Close to Sandgate. It also has a good high school and state and private state schools. Many streets are also up high with city views.

I can't understand why this suburb is selling so well. The street aesthetics aren't great. The school catchments are poor. It isnt even within 8m of CBD but is selling for 20-40% more than Evertone Park and Enogerra. I don't understand it but I also think Ascot is overpriced compared to Wilston/Windsor and Gordon Park.

Friendly neighbors, lots of foliage in the street, excellent place to raise your family. Also has a few little cafes and some beautiful homes

Public transport takes you right into the cbd or it's only a 15min drive. We love the massive parks, walking tracks and bike track into the city. We have no issues living here now 6months and years to come.

Very close to the Chermside mall and good schools

If you are a luck one you might get a city gimps. Driving through the suburb its a bit overrated yes it has some really beautiful properties but I can assure you 3 doors down is a dump. Traffic can be hard either Sandgate or Gympie rd to get anywhere as there are so many sets of lights.

Great suburb.

Lots of park area at Shaw Rd but not much else going for it. You have to drive to get to any decent shops, it's lacking public transport options and is now veined with rat runs to and from the city and heavy, noisy traffic. No restaurants or entertainment areas in walking distance and the lower areas are very flood prone. Parts of Edinburgh Castle Road was flooded with sewerage water in the last massive downpour in 2013 and Shaw Rd parkland was inundated cutting off the road and causing traffic chaos. Kedron Brook is a flood liability. A boring, bland, suburb. Looking forward to finally moving out of Wavell Heights to either Chermside or Nundah which have really cleaned up, are more happening, have better access to public transport and infrastructure and have a lot more going for them. Will leave Wavell Heights to the oldies.

A safe neighborhood. Not many units. Friendly people. I like the way there are 2 suburban cafes near me. One on main Avenue and the other on bilsen Road. They are cute and not surrounded by a shopping centre. That is unique.
Good cycleways. Close to Chermside Mall.

we've been living in wavell for more than 2 years now; we like :1 the quiet,no noise life,2 very nice neighbours; 3 good parks; 4 nature like; 5 there are 2 schools that are quite good: a lot of extra curriculum: drama,chess,sport etc You don't need to bring your child far from home. Close to Chermside Shopping centre-the best and many medical facilities.
