Nestled within the tapestry of Western Australia's vibrant suburban landscape, Success WA emerges as a coveted destination for individuals and families seeking a blend of coastal charm and livable community vibes. This suburb, a prime embodiment of its optimistic name, offers residents an exceptional quality of life accentuated by the allure of its nearby beaches and the convenience of modern amenities.

What sets Success apart isn't just its geographical advantage—a mere stone's throw from some of the region's most beautiful beaches—but also the inherent sense of peace and community that it fosters. Whether you're drawn to the soft sands and soothing sound of lapping waves, or the neighborhood's spirit of connectedness, Success WA is a place that immediately feels like home.

The proximity to some of WA's picturesque beaches is undeniably one of Success' most compelling attributes. Sands that glimmer under the radiant sun, surf that beckons adventure seekers, and horizons that deliver breathtaking sunsets are all everyday luxuries for Success locals. The scenic coastline not only offers aesthetic pleasures but also provides a haven for various outdoor activities—from swimming and surfing to beach volleyball and tranquil strolls along the shore.

When it comes to livability, Success WA checks almost every box.

Community Spirit: Success prides itself on a warm and welcoming community, where neighbours become friends and support networks are strong. Community events, local clubs, and groups add to the suburb's social fabric, encouraging participation and connection among residents.
Accessibility: Its strategic location isn’t just for beach lovers. Success is well-connected with public transport and main roads, making the commute to the city centre or neighbouring suburbs a breeze.
Success WA represents a harmonious balance between the laidback coastal lifestyle and suburban convenience. It's a place where the homes are nestled in streets that echo with the laughter of children and the camaraderie of neighbours. Here, the balance between relaxation, work, and play isn't just a whimsical ideal—it's a daily reality.

Whether it's the lure of the Indian Ocean's azure waters or the compelling sense of belonging, those who plant their roots in Success WA know they have found something special. It's a suburb that doesn't just offer a place to live but promises a way of living that’s rich in joy, comfort, and community—a true success story in Western Australia's vast suburban narrative.

Looking for a home in Success?

"Ok for families starting out... Or bogans"

I lived in success for 15 years, towards the Russell road end of the suburb. Found it mostly quiet and safe. Amenities are close enough, block sizes still reasonable and enough parks to keep the kids happy. Over the few years prior to us selling up, we noticed an influx of bogans and other less than savoury characters that really bought the suburb down. Even within the immediate vicinity of our house, domestic disturbances and police visits were not uncommon. Our friends in the suburb and neighbours have noticed the same trend are are also looking to move on. It is of course bang in the centre of the Fifo belt. Stay away from The Gate, stick to the Russell road end or better, go to Aubin Grove.
Schools are terrible. Very average staff at Success primary, and Atwell college as a high school is down right terrible.

"Great location and traffic is current is great despite what everyone says!"

Been living in Success for over 5 years now. What a great spot, pretty much 20 mins to anywhere, Freo, Perth CBD, Coogee beach, the hills, airport etc.

Very central location and with Gateways and other amenities close by, its a no brainer. Love the neighbourhood. I'm residing off Hammond Park Road on Condil Way. Quiet little street with a few houses. Nil issues. With Hammond Park road being widen, it will make traffic so much better too.

Shops only 2 mins away, gym a min drive and seafood 2 mins drive. Can't really complain!

"If you're here, you ain't found success yet"

Traffic, impossible to use the freeway from 6am to 10am and even harder to get home. Run down housing stock, typical end of the line suburb (yep I know Baldivis is further) but really folks, get up to Leeming and onwards, being closer to the city, Fremantle, etc., makes life just that much better. If you haven't moved in already, keep looking.

Leeming and etc is not affordable due to price, don't you ever think of this? A lot of people lrefer to live in such suburbs like Mount Plrasant, Apple cross,Leeming, Winthrop er, but the prices for houses are horrible, especially tacking into consideration thar it is mostly very old houses need in a huge renovation

"Cockburn Central (Ghetto)"

For past 15 months lived in Cockburn Central although a more accurate description would be Cockburn Ghetto. The only thing going for it is the proximity of the station. Otherwise you'll be living in a shoddy build unit for a a rental premium dictated by the station proximity. The area is the noisiest I have ever lived in which previously includes central Manchester and London. Unfortunately due to the complete absence of any building standards especially window design etc no account is taken of this.

In the evening the area is like a war zone with people screaming and shouting at each other and breaking glass. Frequently marine flares are let off at the buildings. The area seems to attract the people who ride Harleys at 1.00am with exhausts that emit 140dB at the tail end and sounds like a machine gun going off. Vandalism a major problem along with hoons. Regular high speed collisions between vehicles and buses in stoockton bend. Drunks, junkies, hoons, neardowells all part of the areas charming character.

Most nights you'll be stunk out by the toxic emissions from Cockburn Cement (I suspect they burn tyres over night). The Council claim its burning peat in the wetlands (complete BS).

If moving here invest in ear plugs and sleeping tablets.

Thank god I'm renting and can move soon. If I purchased here...........

Great for

  • Main Cockburn central train station

Not great for

  • Noise, dust, air pollution
  • Shoddy low quality apartments - tomorrows ghettos
  • Vandals, hoons, junkies, drunks, WA's worst drivers

What street was this on? And did you notice it was only in certain areas / streets of the suburb? Only reason I ask is Success as a suburb seems to have below the average crime rate of all Perths suburbs....

Rentals in Success

"Bobby"

Lots of break in's of recent, top and bottom end. Cars being targeted at cockburn station and gateway shopping centre. Houses are nice but it's getting a bit rough. Ive live in oz, nz and uk and travelled to over 30 countries so I feel I have a good eye for what's a nice area. Success is going down hill fast!! No cameras in the shopping centre car park = more breaks in's and atm's being blown up! Do the math for yourself.

Great for

  • Main Cockburn central train station
  • Close to beach

Not great for

  • Freeway entry at shopping center is crowded
  • Power Lines

Appreciate you have such experience living all over the world, hope you can find a 'zero' rate of those crimes you mentioned beside Success. Please join your Neighbourhood Watch if you can help minimize that kind of things.

Aye as HarmanLin said that is a good idea as Success seems to have lower than average crime rates in Perth... would be nice to keep it that way.

See the raids by train lately on local shops, scum coming from Midland to create havoc around shopping centre, awful

"Growing sharp"

Have been living in this suburb for Five years and have seen it growing. The expension of the shopping center, the construction of Mandura train line and the development of the South central shoping center has given an unbelievable boost to this area.
Excelent primary school, Transport and new Cockburn sports facilities are few to mention. The negative point is the high tension power lines which are closeby in some parts.

"Star of modern living"

Succes has developed so quickly and all the development is excelent. The majority of the development is dominated by the Richards Nobel's Magnolia garden, a respectable name in development with lots of park. All ameneties close by, with over 100 speciality stores in Cockburn Gateway Shooping city and White goosd and bulky retailer in south central across the road.
Sports facility catering for thousends of people of Cockburn are just located onthe hammond road. Two schools, daycare and a lot of open space and green park complement the young subrb.
Forgot to mentionthe quick and fast Train to the city, proximity of Foina Stainlay hospital and Closness to Murdoc university and Cogee beach is 7Km away!.

"Great suburb with lots of extras"

Have lived in the area for 7 years and love it. Easy access to city, fremantle, rockingham/mandurah and close to coogee beach for those hot days or those into boating and fishing. Heaps of local shopping with more businesses opening all the time. Great choice of schools, community centres, day care, parks and the new netball courts are very handy. Excellent public transport, lots of nice homes, clean streets and friendly people.

"A great place for young families"

It is a friendly, family neighbourhood. There is a great public school, which is really good.

It has alot of beautifully kept parks, which are great for kids .. the only down side to the parks is that they have no toilet facilities.

There is the pub, shops, train and buses. The only down side is the powerlines, which are massive and run right through the centre of the area.

"great for young families"

Although Success appears to be far down the freeway on a map, doing 100km on the freeway its actually only 10 mins from the city! It is also decently priced for mainly new houses and apartments. Gateways shopping center is average for overall shopping but its nice looking and it is getting bigger. Close enough to Garden City, Fremantle, Murdoch University. The Gate pub is handy to have a drink at but can get a bit rowdy on the weekends. Great place to invest, in the last 18 months i have lived here it has grown so much. I cant imagine what 5 years will do to this suberb.
