Reviews of The Bucketts Way, Stroud
"Tranquil Beauty"
The Bucketts Way is lined with old growth gums and stunning views to the mountains. It's a lovely peaceful country drive which takes in several small but intereting towns along the way. Each little town like Limeburners Creek, Allworth and Stroud is rich in history and Stroud has lovely old buildings that have been lovingly restored.
Stroud also has a great little supermarket with a bottle shop at the back with a really good selection of local wines. The pub puts on a good meal and has a band play on Friday nights. The pool at Stroud is really cute and is great for a refreshing swim. The showground plays host to rodeos and shows throughout the year. There is always something going on.
The mudbrick gift store is also a suprise and has a wide variety of gifts not found everywhere.
We love this area and would recommend it to anyone after a rural lifestyle with the convenience of being close to major centres.
