Hi,

I have tried local roads as well as the Western Ring Road, it's all the same. Peak hour is peak hour know matter where you are.

Thanks and hope this helps

Best stick to High St, Albert St and St. Georges Rd if you want to head into the city during peak.
Best to only use the Ring Road if you are actually heading east or west.

The Ring Road is being upgraded (more lanes added) so the traffic situation "maybe" improve - but it is still the longest way around to the city.

I think it might be completed by end of 2013 or early 2014.

My personal opinion is stay clear of the Ring Road during peak hour as the Ring Road picks up traffic from multiple suburbs as well as trucks and semi trailers. I prefer High Street and or St Georges Road.
