The better pockets of Trentham are the larger blocks further out of the main township. There, you may enjoy the tranquility of the countryside and still make use of the amenity that Trentham township has to offer. Buying opportunities are becoming fewer as all the prime pieces of land parcels that remain gradually get snapped up .. and good luck finding acreage further out because it's in short supply. There are still some good bargains to be had closer to town, but that's if you're ok with the quarter-acre-block-mentality and your fence abutting the next door neighbors' toilet piping, etc. The town itself has a few key areas of appeal. Namely, the 'country feel' as you coast along the main streets. But other aspects of it that are nice include the regular farmers' market, the Cosmo, the foodie options keep getting better, the supermarket has improved recently, the air is certainly as fresh as you can get, the parks are great, Trentham falls is close, lots of walking tracks, lots of wildlife and bird life in general, the people are friendly and there is a good community vibe to the place. Some amenities could be improved upon but it is certainly an up-and-coming country locale, in my opinion. (Side note: I am not a local, but wish I was!!! ... perhaps one day... if one of those larger blocks out of the main strip become available ...)

Our very first introduction to Hepburn Shire was through Trentham. Arriving on a spontaneous road trip from Sydney, we were immediately taken by its charming village atmosphere, tree-lined streets and welcoming feel, despite it being rather chilly!

Trentham is one of those places that draws you back again and again. Although it's a small country town, there's always something to enjoy. We often find ourselves wandering the historic High Street, browsing the lovely shops, enjoying a pub lunch or stopping for a great coffee or hot chocolate while watching village life go by.

We also love walking our dog along the Domino Trail and never resist picking up a sourdough loaf from the famous RedBeard Bakery.

Looking back, it's no surprise that Trentham was a very close contender when we made our tree change from Sydney to Hepburn Shire. It's a place full of warmth, character and charm, and being just a short drive from Daylesford, we often find ourselves in Trentham—whether we're meeting clients or simply enjoying a leisurely afternoon.

We have recently bought in Trentham and work from home. We absolutely love it. We like cycling and exploring the surrounding areas. It's close to everything we need. There is a kinder, primary school and buses to a choice of secondary schools in Kyneton and Woodend. The people are friendly and their are plenty of options to grab a coffee and eat out. Highly recommend the tree change.

We visited Trentham for a weekend away with friends and had a great time.
Trentham was hosting the yearly spudfest and it was really enjoyable. The kids absolutely loved it. The people were friendly and there was something for everyone.
There are so many beautiful properties in Trentham to rent for your getaway.
Trentham is well worth a visit and only an hour from Melbourne.

I love living in Trentham. My friends and family love visiting Trentham. It has a lovely surrounds. The high street has some great restaurants, country pubs and cafés. Trentham is on the doorstep of the wombat state forest. Kyneton, Woodend and Daylesford are all just 15-20 minutes away.
There is a Vline bus service that stops at Trentham milk bar and takes commuters to Woodend station and back which makes life much easier for those wanting to commmute to Melbourne. It's a beautiful area.

Trentham is a lovely country town. It is only 90 minutes from Melbourne, 15 minutes to woodend and Kyneton. It is a town well worth a visit. Not only is it picturesque, it has some of the best restaurants, pubs, bakeries and cafes in the area. If you like art, food and a beautiful location Trentham ticks all the boxes.
There are some splendid country walks starting in Trentham too.

I live in Trentham and have really enjoyed living here since moving from Daylesford to be a little bit closer to work in Woodend. My drive to work is only 15 minutes and is a really pleasant drive through gorgeous surrounds. My neighbours are friendly and have lived here for several years. There are plenty of nice places to get a good coffee and there are some great hotels and restaurants.
My parents also live in Trentham and have been really happy here for years. They really enjoy walking and there are some great walking tracks in and around Trentham such as the domino rail trail and the wombat trail.
Overall I think Trentham is beautiful place to live. It's clean and green, safe and what I really love is that it's a growing area with some really nice, enthusiatic and interesting people.
There is a local footy club, a kinder and a primary school. For secondary schools there are bus services to Kyneton where you have a choice of Kyneton secondary school and Sacred Heart. I shouldn't forget to mention the yearly spud fest. This is a really fun event for the town - definitely worth a visit.

I have lived in Trentham for just over 2 years now. It's clean and green. There are markets, restaurants, hotels and cafe's. I can drive to the station in 15-20 minutes. It's great to get away from the hussle and bussle of city life. I have never had any problems. Loving country life.
