Yale Circuit

"Well Kept"

Yale Circuit is a nice looking street, Delfin have kept many tall gum trees in its College Park area. Situated in the central part of Forest Lake you can enjoy all that is on offer from The Village and its surrounding businesses. A moderately sloping street with some houses backing onto the boulevard. Very green.

Ascot Avenue

"Very Close to Shops"

If its locality your looking for then this street could definitely suit you. Used to be a street with many builders displaying their homes for public view so most homes in this street are ex-display homes. Experiences an average amount of traffic during the day yet I have never heard any complaints of noise being an issue for residents. Mostly large homes.

High Street

"In the Scene"

High Street, home to Forest Lake State High School, Childcare, Gym, Church and Retirement Village, this street really is jam packed with facilities. Calling this street home is exclusive to only a few lucky home owners. Traffic is quiet, but gets busy when high school starts and finishes at around 8:00 - 9:30am and then again at 2:00 - 4:00pm. Very short walk to The Village, Forest Lake Tavern, Medical Center, Forest Lake College and Public Transport. Top Street when locality matters.

Parkwood Dr

"The Main Strip"

Parkwood Drive is the main street of Parkwood Estate. However this estate has been designed very well and this street only ever really experiences local traffic and public transport. Visually appealing with landscaped parks, nice homes and a large oval with a playground situated near Stapylton Road for the kids. Local shops and a child care facility is also located just off Parkwood Drive with access from Juniper Street. Top spot and well planned out by developer Stockland.

Since the middle of 2009 Stockland's have allowed the covenants for Parkwood to slip. This is very evident by the house along the main strip. The block sizes have gotten significantly smaller from the 600 to 700m2 when they started to 400-500 m2 now. Stockland are looking to pull out of the Parkwood estate by the end of 2010 and are waiting to approval to begin Pallara. When this happens Parkwood will start to improve in terms of capital growth

Bottlebrush St

"Quiet Street Near Park"

A short street consisting mainly of 550-650m2 land allotments. A nicely designed area with many footpaths and parks surrounding. Technically in the suburb of Heathwood and planned by developer Stockland many consider Parkwood to be part of its neighbor Forest Lake. Well kept street. Bus service available.

Santa Cruz Place

"Top Spot"

Santa Cruz is a top street, it really is in a prime location. Homes built in this area called Jetty Walk are highly sought after due to the fact of how close and central it is to the Lake and Village Shopping Center. Kilometers of walk trails surrounds the well landscaped man made lake which boasts some excellent picnic spots. Santa Cruz has some very nice houses built on it and in the surrounding streets. Many consider Jetty Walk to be home to some of Forest Lake's most pristine houses.

Pimlico Street

"What An Odd Street"

Don't let the review title put you off this street. It is only odd due to the layout as you can see in the map. Quiet street with not much traffic and has easy access to the Civic Center via Partridge Street. So close to the neighboring suburb of Forest Lake, yet retains the affordability that Inala has to offer.

A quiet backstreet of Forest Lakes popular estate "The Cascades". Close to the Motorway and a future railroad track, however traffic noise is greatly reduced by the Logan Motorway's sound barriers.

Kensington Avenue

"No Houses Here"

Nobody calls this street home, instead it gives direct access to Delfin's Creekwood homes. Take a stroll along the footpath and and unwind. Delfin did a very good job of creating visually appealing streets and this one is no different.

Corsair Avenue

"Close to Everything"

Corsair Avenue is situated right next to the Inala Civic Center. A constant stream of local shoppers and public transport use this road. Easy access to everything that the civic center has to offer, Woolworths, auto shop, restaurants, that are well priced and take away restaurants such as McDonald's, Subway or KFC. There is also a medical center that bulk bills.

Heron Street

"Short and Quiet"

Consisting of only 6 residences, you could say that it is quite an exclusive street. Situated between Rosella and Bellbird Street it is only a short stroll to the local skylark shops. Quiet street with good 600m blocks of land.

"This Street Has History"

In January of 1950 back when Inala was previously known as Boylands Pocket, Buddleia Street was where the first homes were constructed by a South Australian company called Boscrete. Boscrete specialized in the construction of concrete houses, also commonly known as "stucco" today.
A quiet street with mainly local traffic.

Inala

"The Lively Suburb"

Originally known as Boylands Pocket by sheep and tobacco farmers, it wasn't until 25th February 1953 that the suburb was officially named Inala. Its rapid growth began when the Serviceton Co-operative Society bought 480 hectares of land that was divided into many 800m2 lots and distributed amongst the societies shareholders, who were predominately ex-servicemen. Soon after, the Queensland Housing Commission took over the development project and arranged for 1000 homes to be built by a South Australian company called Boscrete. Who specialized in the construction of concrete homes.

With the influx of people and diverse cultures flocking to the young suburb, the Heart of Inala, was built. Opened in 1962 it consisted of only 8 shops and was officially named the "Inala Civic Center". To this day I am still amazed at how busy this place is, any day off the week. Strongly influenced by the cultural diversity surrounding it, almost all signage contains English and Vietnamese. The centers' courtyard is regularly host to many community events and is a great spot to meet local people.

Bring the kids because there are plenty of schools for you to choose from. Currently I have seen a lot of construction work at many of these schools, expanding and renovating of the grounds.

There's always something happening in Inala!

Penguin Street

"Family Orientated Street - Locality"

The quiet road just off Skylark Street, is home to many stucco homes built in the 70's. Land sizes vary but most range from 600-700m2. At the end of Penguin Street is "DJ Sherrington Park" here there is a good sized skate park and plenty of room to kick a ball or walk the dog. I know one lady who lived 40 happy years in Penguin Street.

"Friendly Atmosphere, Great Street"

Skylark street is a relatively short street, yet it feels big. Home to many and a place of business for some. The street is very wide and allows for parking on both sides which makes parking at the skylark shopfronts very easy. Average land size is around 650m2 for residential, plenty of backyard for children.
