Port Lincoln

"Port Lincoln - Great place to relax or have an action packed holiday!"

I have been to Port Lincoln almost yearly since a child as we have family over there, on a recent holiday a group of us all took part in the day trip shark dive with Calypso Star Charters. The staff were fabulous, food fantastic and if your an adrenaline junky well the Sharks are just mind blowing under water! They are huge and very inquisitive. Well worth the money, a must do! We also took a boat trip out to feed the tuna which was a real eye opener, Don't just think your going to feed the 'fishies', these beauties are big balls of pure muscle! Make sure you jump in and swim with them, Another great experience.
Highly recommend visiting Whalers way and doing the scenic drive trip through the national park, the views are just beautiful. If you love surfing there are some great spots around Lincoln too.

Many great places to eat out, either at the marina or down the main street of Lincoln. Sit out and enjoy a glass of wine or beer.

Great for

  • Nice and clean Beaches
  • Beaches that rival anywhere else
  • Holiday accomondation
  • Port Lincoln national park
  • Staring into space

Not great for

  • The better beaches are out of town.

"Roseworthy, Quiet rural living only minutes from Gawler"

Roseworthy is rural living at its best, with the luxury of being only 10 kms from Gawler. Also linking major highways to the Barossa, Clare Valley, Port Adelaide and the city. Great local pub with big country meals, Primary school and fantastic veterinary college.

Adelaide Road

"Adelaide Road Mallala"

Adelaide Road Mallala leads from Two Wells straight to the main intersection of Mallala. With the pub on your right, you have to pop in and have a 'froffy' with Dylan. Dont forget to check out the pubs very own cricket pitch! This road also has a service station, where Norm and Fay will help with any of your needs. A chemist and the Ambulance station as well as Robs Merch shop are also towards the town side of Adelaide Road. The house blocks are large and very friendly people! Walking distance to the IGA and takeaway shop.

Dublin

"A small town on the Port Wakefield Highway."

Dublin is only 40 minutes from the city, 20 minutes from Muno Para shopping centre and 5 minutes from the beach! Thompsons beach or Port Parham beach known for its large crabs in raking season! Dublin has a great little general store/post office, fodder store, fruit and veg shop and the pub cooks a wholesome meal for lunch and/or dinner 7 days a week, with salad bar too. Dublin also has a great butcher shop, you have to try the chicken, pine nut and spinach sausages!
Most residential blocks are a decent size and even if you can see your neighbour they are pretty friendly!

Owen

"Owen a friendly country town."

Owen is a quiet little country town between Mallala and Balaklava. Great in summer with its public Swimming Pool and boasts a great little Basketball club. Drop in and see the publican 'Space' for a cold beer and dinner, he's a wealth of knowledge for the community. A safe town to bring up kids in the fresh air and close to anything you need.

Aerodrome Road

"Aerodrome Road Mallala"

Aerodrome Road leads out to the Motor Sport track, getting a small amount of traffic on the weekends that events are on. With a Doctors surgery, retirement home and school all in the street, the local IGA and Mallala Pub are all within walking distance as is the Local sports oval. Usually quiet traffic wise, friendly street with houses on large blocks of land, some with road frontage front and back.

Clare

"Clare Valley - A great place to work, live and enjoy the food and wine!"

Having grown up in the Clare Valley it is a place close to my heart. I always make sure I get back for the Clare Easter Races as well as the fabulous Christmas parade they put on! Another event to check out is the Spanish Festival that is held every year around April, Clare being the sister city to Almontee in Spain it is a colourful, cultural event and must be seen! They are a very inviting group and love to watch locals attempt to play the castanets as well as dance the flamenco, I have learnt a small amount of Spanish since attending from a young age.

3 Pubs will keep you busy, all walking distance from one another and a huge array of local sporting clubs that are more than welcoming.
Woolworths, Target, Subway and Cheap as Chips have brought a little of the city to the town but still have a well established local shop base. Reliable taxi service and a bus that goes to the city weekly.

Mallala

"MALLALA - A little country town with an warm welcoming community"

Mallala is a quaint little farming community known for 'where all the roads meet' surrounded by beautiful farming land. There is always plenty to do!

The local Football club is very inviting as well as the Netball, Cricket, Tennis and Bowls clubs being great family outings for the whole family. The Equestrian Centre has a magnificent indoor arena that has regular shows for the horse enthusiasts and is just out of the town ship as is the local Motor Sport Park regularly hosting state and national events.

Mallala Primary school is situated down Aerodrome Road and has recently had a school gymnasium erected, always plenty of happy kids.
The local Mallala Hotel is the hub of Mallala with a cricket theme running throughout... including the 'pitch' out the back. Fantastic food, coffee, entertainment and where the kegs are said the 'quiver'.

The local Football oval provides shower and toilet facilities (built by the local Lions club) for campers and caravans, only walking distance from the local IGA, take away shop and pub.

Being only 45 minutes from the city, 20 minutes from Galwer and 20 minutes from Port Parham beach known for its large haul of crabs in raking season.

Hope this has helped guys and feel free to ask any questions.
