"The Most Diverse Street"
Benowa Road has the most diverse real estate, as it crosses three suburbs. Benowa Road Southport offers small affordable complexes, and old single level small established homes. As you move to Benowa Road Ashmore, its more of the same until you continue over Ashmore Roads to Benowa Road, into Benowa Waters. Then the prices jump as the homes are either on Lake Capabella or on the Nerang River.
"Tightly held and unassuming"
Cabana Boulevard
Tightly held and unassuming . An established street comprising of 104 homes , one side of the street on Main River, facing South to water, the other side facing North over the private lake” Capabella” At the end of the cul de sac you can walk into the Botanic Gardens, popular for the dog walking park , just inside the entrance,

"Tiny Tanya"
Tanya Court
Small things are the greatest
Tanya Court, situated off Marbella Drive , consists of only 4 houses. All with views over the Botanical Garden or Hinterland or both. I have been blessed to sell 3 of the houses in this tiny pocket. Some more than once . The quiet street , yet one of the best.

"My Favourite street since 2001"
Charolais Crescent Benowa Waters
My Favourite street since 2001
When I fell into real estate in 2001 after being made redundant (14 years with the same company)
I drove Benowa Waters . Driving down Charolais Crescent with my husband we both said, this is the street we wanted to live in. Why, it just felt right, it was far beyond our means , yet it grabbed us.
Whist I do not live in the street, it is still my favourite street in Benowa Waters.
Why?
It has trees, and established homes . The residents have Halloween parties , Christmas parties and Christmas in July, they are connected, with out being in each others pockets.
I have been lucky to sell 5 families into the street, and whilst I will continue to love where I live, Charolais Crescent will always have a very special place in my heart.

"The Beauty of Benowa Waters"
Why Benowa Waters is a great place to live.
After finding Benowa Waters by chance 19 years ago I can honestly say , I love where I live. It is not only a family friendly suburb, with fantastic shops and schools all within walking distance, we are also away from the transient life of the Gold Coast , yet only an Uber away if we want to explore the restaurants and show off to our interstate friends or overseas friends all the Gold Coast has to offer.
We are also blessed to have the Botanic Gardens on our door step. !
Benowa Waters is a “Vanity” suburb of Benowa. It is not recognised by the post office however it is sign posted by the council. All homes south of Ashmore Rd in Benowa are classed as being in Benowa Waters. It comprise only of houses, approx. 900 , no units, Its basically an Island, one way in and one way out.
If you also live in Benowa Waters, please share why you love to live here .

"Marbella Magic"
Marbella Drive is situated in the Vanity Suburb of Benowa, Benowa Waters.
Marbella is a quiet cul de sac comprising of 70 houses. One side of the street the houses overlook lake Capabella, a very tranquil wide private lake. The other side of the street the homes are on dry blocks. 6 homes are on acres and back directly on to the Botanical gardens.
At the end of the cul de sac is a very tightly held and exclusive gated community called La Fontaine which had 22 villas. The Villas either overlook Lake Capabella or back on to the Botanic gardens. The last Villa recently sold (May 2020) for $710,000.
The most recent sale in the street was an original home on a dry block selling for $595,000 (April 2020) which represents entry level, the highest price to date was one of the acreages selling for $2,250 back in 2007.
It is a family friendly street and still has a few of the original owners living here since 1984. We love that you can walk directly into the Botanical Gardens or take the short walk to Benowa Gardens Shopping Centre and of course the local schools.
I have been blessed to live in the street for 19 years and have seen many changes. I love where I live.

"The History of Benowa"
Benowa boasts one of the oldest Gold Coast town names, dating back to the 1850’s. The name evolved from the Aboriginal word ‘Boomow” (the bloodwood tree) in 1866 one square mile of land was granted to Robert Muir, which eventually became the Benowa Sugar plantation. The location was known as Nerang Creek, now the section of the Nerang river running along Cabana Blvd and Sir Bruce Small Boulevard.
1866 Marked the opening of the post office and saw the first sale of land within the Benowa township. The Queensland Gazetteer in 1876 describes Benowa as having three sugar mills, a hotel, a racecourse, a courthouse , a store, and a blacksmith.
Today Benowa's services include the Benowa Gardens Shopping Centre, Pindara Private Hospital, the Royal Pines Resort Golf Course and three schools (public and private). It is also is also the home of the Gold Coast City's Regional Botanic Gardens.
Cabana Blvd and Sir Bruce Small Boulevards are now in Benowa Waters, the “vanity” suburb of Benowa. All homes south of Ashmore Road, are regarded as being part of Benowa Waters.
Today you would pay between $1.4 million to $4 million to buy a home situated on the main river. To buy a home that is not on the water you would expect to pay upwards of $900,000 and potentially up to $1.3 million.
No of houses 2,318 Median Price $876,322
No of units/ townhouses 1,242 Median price $528,068
Data from core logic May 2020
