Very true, worst suburb in Perth, my mate drives UBER pick two guys from Mirabooka and smoked marjuana in UBER and didn't listen to the driver and threatned and had grabbed money from the driver by force, they were trafficking drugs, now I'm avoid this area and don't want to go though the ares as well, DISGUSTING!!!

"Amazing"

Very expensive beautiful suburb. People are friendly, we are leasing our unit in Peppermint grove, you get good rental return, and the house prices are steady at moment, so good time to buy.

Why is community housing a problem ? Is there are list of areas which have or dont have community housing ?

salr

I think you have to have lived in an area where theres community housing to fully understand the issue. Im not saying theyre all bad/problem people-theyre not! But, it only takes one family to ruin your life. I speak from experience and would NEVER rent/buy in an area with community housing again. The suburb we lived in suffered a great deal of crime, noise pollution from hooning and drunken brawls (Im not exaggerating!) and we dealt with neighbours partying every weekend, skidding their cars up and down the street in the early hours and then fighting, which often ended with blue lights in the street. I know everyone has to live somewhere and has the right to a decent home, but not at the cost of me losing my sanity because they cant conform to the rules of society like everyone else.
Never again!

And please note that I recognise not all community housing families behave this way! Most are good people trying to get by like the rest of us. But again like I said, it takes just one family to ruin your life.

Cottesloe

"Great place to Live"

Close to the city and beach. Strictly for investments, what else could you want? Dont know about others, but our neighbours are great. Sometimes you do get the rif raf coming to the area from other suburbs, but usually not alot of trouble. Nice cafes and restaurants, its a great place to be. We bought our first home here in 2000, and the property prices in the area have just boomed! its amazing. I would recommend it to everyone!

Great for

  • Great Cafes and Resturants
  • Close to the city
  • Close to the beach

Not great for

  • The rif raf non residents that come from other suburbs
