Nakara is the absolute best value for money in Darwin. It is an affluent A+ area, but still affordable as solid houses can be bought for 650-750k. Significantly more affordable than the premium million plus suburbs. And you can even walk to everywhere. Nakara primary is the top school in Darwin, great area for families with small kids.

Smacked bang in the middle of Darwin, so easy to go anywhere! 10-15 mins to everything that Darwin has to offer: beach, uni, city, hospital, airport, Casuarina mall or even the Palmerston city at the other end!
Can't beat this location.

In terms of car theft, there is less car theft in White Rock (32) than in Edge Hill (40) and Whitfield (36) which are Cairns premier suburbs. The window of opportunity to buy an affordable house in Darra is rapidly closing. Just remember what Oxley used to be and what it is now. You are looking at Darra in a few years.

Great choice for families. Convenient shopping and transport, very close by to huge parks, decent schools.

Elizabeth area has had a bad reputation, but Elizabeth South is the best suburb within the vicinity. Much less crime and unemployment then in the surrounding suburbs.

Berala is not a famous suburb, many Sydneysiders have never heard of it, and that is just the way we like it! Quiet and clean, not much traffic, very leafy with lots of trees around. LOVE it!
