2AM Lockout!

I never thought that I would get caught out on the 2AM lockout! I was out on the weekend, and I went out of a bar to make a phonecall. Turns out I went out at 1:58am and came back it about 2:05am and I was not allowed back in, even though I had a passout! While it was probably time to go home, I was still a bit pissed I wasn't allowed back in. What's the logic behind the lockout? I did notice A LOT more people on the streets at 2am, which probably caused more fights than not.

Why the 2am lockout and what are your thoughts?

It's frustrating but it has a bit of sense to it.

I'm still on the fence with this ... part of me hates it, part of me likes it. :(

I guess you are right Pure Krome. It's of those things people will learn to live with I guess.

It's all a bit pointless. Fitzroy is still full of bogan retards in the early morning. Whether they beat each other up at 2am or 3am I still get woken by their animal behaviour...

Channel 9 had a story on this the other night saying that it's more than likely going to get canned in the next couple of weeks. Apparently it was only a trial and all the exemptions that were granted made most people realise what a farce the idea was. Also alot of the clubs simply said it made the problem worse and that it made people more aggresive!

Fingers crossed they do can it.

the concept had no chance when everyone started getting excemptions.

it needed to be trialled with little to no excemptions being granted.

fail trial.
