Best Parks in Melbourne
Here's a list of my all time favourite parks in and around Melbourne. Let me know if I'm missing any!
1. Ruffey Lake Park
Victoria Street, Templestowe
Great BBQ facilites, swings for the kids and fantastic walks for dog. A great weekend getaway
2. Westerfolds Park
Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe
A VERY leafy park that has the Yarra River running through it. Fantastic for Bike riding and weekend walks.
3. Royal Botanic Gardens
Domain Road, South Yarra
Once of the most spectacular in Melbourne, these gardens are quite iconic. Many a wedding is held here because of it's beautiful lakes. A must for all tourist in Melbourne.
4. Albert Park Lake
Queens Road, Albert Park
Love this lake, in the morning on weekends, it's so refreshing. A must for anyone visiting Melbourne.
5. Fitzroy Gardens

The Fitzroy gardens (http://www.fitzroygardens.com/) is a great place to go for families or to relax before/after an event at the MCG. Located just opposite the MCG, it's a lovely place to relax. Kids love the Fairy Tree and tourists check out Cooks Cottage. On the weekend, you'll most likely find a bride or two getting photo's done as they swan amoungst the lovely trees.
