We may have to move to the Yamba, McLean area for work. Can anyone please tell me about the area?

Hi! We are a young family with 2 boys (aged 5 and 8) and a friendly Kelpie. We have been on holidays to Yamba and loved it, but not sure about living there as all our family and friends are on the Sunshine Coast. I am a keen gardener and teacher (with a lovely little business specialising in indoor plants ,gardens and workshops) my husband is in construction and my kids are sports mad. What schools would you recommend and social activites/groups down there. Have potentially found a rental property on some acreage in Ashby Heights. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
