What is the public transport like in the Yarralumla area?

There is a bus service that runs every 10-15 minutes between the hours of 6am to 10pm Monday to Friday. Saturdays the bus runs every 30 minutes between the hours of 7am to 10pm. Sundays the bus runs every 30 minutes between the hours of 9am to 7pm.

Consider commuting by bike. It's an easy 20 minutes to city along the lake. You will barely use roads and ride on purpose built pedestrian/cycle paths.
