Moving to Armidale, NSW - any advice please?

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children moving to Armidale from U.K. around June/July 2012. Just wondered if anyone could advise on a good area in which to rent, also we will be bringing our dog.... is difficult to obtain a rental which would allow a dog? Kind thanks!

Best spots are South or North Hill. South is more expensive. I have rented 2 houses no problems with a dog.
