@The_Pom: Doesn't matter with regards to the question but I don't think those maps you refer to are for 2011...there was minimal creek flooding in 2011 compared to the long term flood maps. Do you have a link?

Ithaca Creek backed up from the Brisbane River quite strongly in 1974, flooding as far up as Coopers Camp Road and the nearby connecting Dawn St and Sunrise St (34 metres above sea level). Areas around St John's Wood also flooded. Suggest you look at Google Earth and avoid areas at elevations less than 35m above sea level.

Ashgrove is high in a crest but there are some creeks. may I recommend to check with the local flood plan

The flood maps that can be found on the BCC website show that some Ashgrove areas along the creek suffered during the 2011 floods.
