Bank Street, Ballan, VIC 3342

Living on Bank Street my entire life, (on the corner of Bank and O'Cock Street, the end furthest from central Ballan) I can happily say that I have loved living in such a quiet and peaceful area of the town. The neighbours are friendly and inviting, and mostly consist of (but are not restricted to) families, whilst the open space is a breath of fresh air. With only a 2 minute drive to the town center the distance is convenient, as it provides calm, serene landscapes whilst still providing accessibility to all that the town has to offer.

For those with secondary school aged children, you should be advised that chartered school buses, provided as a convenience to families in rural areas, pass through daily in the morning and evening and usually make a stop at the corner of O'Cock and Blackwood Street/Ballan-Greendale Road, just a small walk from home.

The 15-20 minute walk to the main street is beautiful, however, the steep hills that cradle the Wendouree River and Caledonian Park can take a little effort. The area is perfect for children, as there is little to no traffic, and for those who like to take walks, with local streets and the nearby golf course providing various routes coupled with beautiful scenery. Although, for those who prefer to take strolls in the evening or after a day at work, I add; during winter months when evening daylight is scarce, there are few street lights to light up the area so flashlights are a useful companion.
