"A main thoroughfare but still a nice place to live"
This road is busy during peak hours and then steady during the day. Road traffic at nights and on weekends (particulary Sundays) is much less. For the cost of homes and rents on this road the noise is worth the savings.

"Not quite..."
Bennett's road is the main thoroughfare and not walking distance from oxford st, unless you are considering an hour's walk!
