Moving to the area
my partner and I are looking to move to cannonvale / Airlie beach area in October. I am wondering what it is like to live in the area and if it is hard to get work for myself as my partner will be working in the mines ?

All the best with your move to the Whitsundays. I am sure you will love living here in Cannonvale/Airlie Beach/Jubilee Pocket etc areas. Join the many local Facebook Groups and one thing I always tell my clients to do is to go the sailing Club early Wednesday afternoon and you should always get on board for a sail - a great way to meet people. Don’t bother with Airlie Beach/Cannonvale. Proserpine is the best place to live, so close to the airport, highway, hospital, schools. Proserpine has a friendly community atmosphere and low crime.
