Reviews of Cecil Avenue, Castle Hill
"Great facilities, if you don't mind some nearby traffic"
Cecil Avenue, Castle Hills is a long suburban street running from Showground Rd, crossing Old Northern Rd in the middle, and continuing on to Crane Rd.
The middle section, where it passes behind the main shopping area, crossing Old Northern Road and Terminus Street, tends to get very busy – and from here northwards to Showground Rd, the traffic is denser and it is more of a through-route. The southern end, however, is fairly quiet and peaceful
The street is not as leafy as many in the local area and the houses are of an older style, many un-renovated and original. Property prices tend to be very reasonable.
There are some good facilities nearby including on Cecil Ave itself, the Sydney Adventist primary and preschool (close to the urban hub), and the Castle Hill pre-school in a lovely area in Greenup Park at the southern end.
Being so close to the heart of Castle Hills, naturally there are great shopping facilities and it is very close to Castle Towers (one of the biggest shopping complexes in NSW) which has over 300 stores, eateries, and cinemas.
Terminus Rd provides some excellent restaurants including La Collina and Il Nido, which both serve excellent Italian fare of a rustic and simple variety. La Collina’s staff are terrific.
