"Beautiful place with beautiful people"

Cronulla is a fantastic suburb surrounded with sandy shores ideal for the growing family with rare beachside access to train station, apart from the great mall with all the grocery facilities, one can also tuck a bottle of wine under their arm and stroll to numerous restaurant's.
The most attractive element for Well established types & retirees is the proximity of Public facilities to each other one can access them easily when going for a casual stroll along the many waterfront reserves.

"Great spot to reside"

A family friendly and easy going suburb. Lots of good shops, cafes/restaurants, schools, transportation, walks and several beautiful beaches/parks. Busy on weekends and quiet during the week. Never been happier ...

"I live on Elouera Rd"

I have been living here since 2007,the traffic is terrible its very noisy especially the hoons and the harleys, they have no respect for people who live in the street.
The intoxicated youths at night are just as bad this mainly happens on the weekends they seem to love urinating on my front lawn.
They yell and scream also its just terrible.
They also love to dispose of their beer bottles on my front lawn.
I have complained to council asking them to put bins on every corner but they don't seem to care.
I give up I just want to sell my place and move out of North cronulla and move to a nicer part (South).

Great for

  • Great beach lifestyle.
  • Large choice of restaurants, 2 supermarkets, fish
  • Market and fruit and veg shops.

Not great for

  • Intoxicated youths yelling out on streets on Friday
  • And Saturday nights, particularly in summer

Rentals in Cronulla

"Great beach lifestyle"

I've lived in an apartment at South Cronulla for over 20 years. The style and atmosphere has improved markedly over the last 15 years, with 2 supermarkets, many choices for restaurants, cafes. The beach lifestyle is it's best asset. There is a wonderful promenade for strolling along the headlands to bass and Flinders point, or return via Gunnamatta bay along the sand. Rock bathss and patrolled bathing areas on the beach, and surfing areas give many choices to coll off. At the back of the train station is a cute timber ferry to the Royal National Park. Great lifestyle.
The only detraction is the level of noise on the streets as young drinkers yell out on the streets when the RSL club closes. They screech, swear or occassionally scuffle when intoxicated, as they make their way to other night clubs in the main street or Kingsway. Why don't police stop this abnoxious behaviour?
The train service at peak hour to the city has been greatly improved with double line preventing bottle necks as frequently used to occur. CityRail should have put some express trains back from the city as they have done in the morning only. It's a 15 minute drive or train ride to a large shopping centre for anything you can't find in Cronulla. Good public facilities at the bech such as outdoor showers, shaded parks and swings for kids.

Great for

  • Great beach lifestyle.
  • Large choice of restaurants, 2 supermarkets, fish
  • Market and fruit and veg shops.

Not great for

  • Intoxicated youths yelling out on streets on Friday
  • And Saturday nights, particularly in summer
  • Remote from city (can be an advantage)

I live on Elouera rd and OMG I have have come close to jumping my balcony and hosing them down with my hose lol.
The police are so tied up attending to emergency matters, there are not enough police on our streets.
We have the govt to blame for that.
The council needs to make it an Alcohol free zone all up down Elouera rd and other parts also.
The council needs to make it the Clubs resposability ie The security walk up and down Elouera rd controlling this behaviour.
If that means more cost to them so be it they want a club they need to respect the locals needs, but we all need to speak up.

"Cronulla - My life over the bridge"

Living just over Tom Ugly's Bridge in Ramsgate, I began working at Belle Property Cronulla in January 2011. Since then I fell in love with Cronulla and the surrounding suburbs. Such a beautiful area with scenic wonders and prime real estate. Take a walk on the esplanade, enjoy an excellent morning coffee or dine at the premium restaraunts, Cronulla offers so much. Where will I purchase my next property? You guessed it, Cronulla.

"Great Beaches -Coastal Lifestyle"

Cronulla is most beautiful in Summer. Our fantastic beaches can suit a variety of people - Darook is great for kids, Wanda for surfers, South Cronulla beach for little nippers and Blackwoods Beach for privacy.

Cronulla has a lot to offer - quality restaurants, decent venues such as The Brass Monkey and many many cafes (Zimzala, Strawberry Fair).

Friendly people, active lifestyle. Surf, swim, run, walk.

You can live in the hustle and bustle of Cronulla Mall or North & South Cronulla can suit retired couples. It all depends on location.

Coming home to Cronulla yesterday from a trip overseas, wow, the weather in autumn is still spectacular and how can you beat the view from The Esplanade, this has to be one of the best places to live in the world.

"There is nowhere quite as nice as the Shire"

Forget about the history of the race riots,as a lot of the idiots involved in that didnt even come from Cronulla and were blow ins.

I have lived all over Australia and the world, and currently reside in Western Australia, but my heart still lies in Cronulla, and as such I still own a place there,as Cronulla is where I want to be when I finally come home.It has the best of everything in that it doesnt matter whether youre 18 or 80.There are great restaurants, cafes, shops, gyms, transport and beaches. And at present you dont have to pay to park there,or pay any tolls to commute to work(as long its not too far west or north).

The Esplanade is a great walk for the fitness minded in all seasons and of course for only a few dollars, you can take the Bundeena ferry, and experience the beautiful homes on Gunnamatta Bay and see Australia's oldest National Park and enjoy a nice afternoon in Bundeena.

Obviously I am biased, but I really think that you would be mad to want to live anywhere else in Sydney. The Shire, and in particular,Cronulla, has a great lifestyle for an affordable price, with friendly locals, and it has really good community spirit.

Bundeena is one of Sydney's best kept secrets. Every month there is a great event 'Art Trail' where local artists open up with studios to the public. Its a unique experience and highly recommended!

"Cronulla - Good beachside suburb of Sydney"

Cronulla is a beachside suburb on the southern side of the city. Cronulla has a long open beach ideal for swimming and surfing. The beach is in the summer season at which time it is generally safe for swimming provided you swim within the flags. Basically a residential suburb Cronulla has some great beach side cafes and hotels with great views of the beach. There are some great shopping centres with an open mall style centre with al fresco style dining, arts and craft shops, clothes and boutique style stores. There is plenty of nightly entertainment and accommodation for the tourist. Due to its popularity, home prices in Cronulla are a bit on the expensive side but not quite as high as the eastern beachside or harbour suburbs.

"Home of the Sharks"

Cronullla is on the tip of the Sutherland Shire and has its own beach and is a good forty minutes' drive to the city. Rocked by previous once off race riots, the suburb still retains much of its old culture where many spirited locals will swear by Cronulla and live and die here than live anywhere else in Sydney. The beach itself is nice, but nowhere near as nice as Coogee or Bondi. There are a few pubs and clubs along the main strip so a Saturday night has plenty of options and choices for entertainment. There also are a lot of sporting fields in Cronulla so all the rugby league enthusiasts have excellent facilities in the area.
