Any recommendation for the buyer agent in gold coast?

We are looking for a semi-retirement life at Gold Coast. Any areas you would recommend? We would enjoy a quiet environment with water and a park surround, and a short driving distance to the shopping and restaurant. Anyone with knowledge of Merrimac as some close to the water and golf course view? Any potential flood in the area as it used to be swampy? We also like Helensville, Paradise Point, Clear Island Water, Broadbeach Water, Mermaid Water but the price tag is high.
