Leaving UK and heading for Gold Coast.

Hi, my name is Sue, I am currently in the UK but our visas are moving forward and we are hoping to leave here in about 9 months, i have been looking at houses around the Parkwood estate, Ashmore and Southport areas online, Gold coast is lovely and Parkwood is my main interest area to look for a home, but i am open to an area if somebody could recommend different... i see most peoples comments are positive about the area, can anyone please tell me what schools i should be looking at for a 6yr old and 13yr old if i was to settle in Parkwood. i must admit i am slightly nervous about emigrating and leaving all i know behind but i am hoping this is a good move and i wont end up regretting it. Are there any other people on here that have left the UK and live on the GC ??? would be great to hear from people to ease my mind or just some positive comments . thanks, Sue.
