Is Gympie as bad as some say?

My family and I are wanting to buy some land. Is moving to the outskirts of Gympie going to make us feel super isolated? And is Gympie really as bad as some say? Hubby and I would both be needing to find new jobs, he is trade and I am in administration. I like the look of Curra

I find Gympie has very limited shopping and have had to travel into Noosa or Maroochydore to but things, work is limited but I do not work in either of your fields but I would be checking out jobs before you came. Curra is ok but is very busy with the Bruce highway.
I feel very isolated living in Gympie township so Curra would definitely be a lot more isolated.
Hospital and doctor facilities are still back in the 80’s so I found this hard.
Gympie has just not caught up to the rest of the coast as far as progress but maybe in another 10 years it will be good.
If you like small towns then you may like it but we have sold our house now so we are leaving soon so we say we have just been given parole 😂
I used to read reviews and say it can’t be as bad as people say but I think it was for us and maybe even a little more.
I think one of the baddest things is other than the Sunday markets there is very little activities to do.

Gympie is the Wild West. If you have any class... don't do it!

I like Gympie, last 35 yrs were spent in cairns, 150% humidity 300 hundred days of the year. I love how the temperature drops at least 10 degrees at night, every night. Perfect

Nothing to do?? Really?
Medical facilities back in the 80’s?? Seriously?
