"The Quiet Achiever"

So well located between the ocean and the freeway, this little known suburb is the hidden gem of the north. Family friendly with lots of parks, it's very close the very excellent Home Coffee Bar - well worth the visit!

"Everything at your doorstep"

Bought into Heathridge 5 years ago and haven’t looked back, could not think of a better place to live. Friendly neighbours, close to Mullaloo beach, Lakeside Joondalup shopping centre, Joondalup golf resort, train stations, freeway, HBF arena, good schools, university, restaurants and bars.
All this without the price tag of neighbouring suburbs Connolly, Ocean Reef, Iluka, Burns beach.

hey Paul out of curiosity how do you find the local schools?

Kids went / go to Poseidon primary and absolutely loved it. Youngest will attend Ocean Reef next year (music program). Prendiville Catholic College just around the corner is another good option.

"Absolutely Amazed!! Perths best kept secret!"

Reading reviews I was not sure about buying in this area however value for money was outstanding. The day we moved in we had visits from several neighbors welcoming us to the area and offering to help!!!!! Amazing where else in Perth would you have that we have made lots of new friends already and regularly enjoy a glass of wine. Local schools are excellent both primary and Ocean Reef high school is excellent my kids are very happy. Close to Joondalup shops, train station, ECU, hospital, beaches, swimming pool you name it and it won't be more than 5 minutes away. Houses are being renovated everywhere which is great. Crime is low I feel safe walking at night. I know people say there is no tavern but it takes us 10 minutes to walk to the Beldon which is a fantastic local pub with great food or a $5 uber ride to Joindalup - close enough to enjoy but not too close to cause trouble. I'm in love with this area.......a hidden gem!

Great for

  • Close to ECU
  • Neighborhood safe
  • People are welcoming and friendly.
  • Choice of shopping centres
  • Large blocks - privacy from neighbours
  • Lots of parks & playgrounds
  • Choice of schools
  • Proximity to train & buses

"Great suburb to live and invest"

Heathridge is well-supported by a range of amenities. Proximity to bus and train station, schools (3 primary schools, 2 high schools), universities, parks, major shopping centres (Joondalup & Whiford) and beautiful beaches! Good block size (generally 600 sqm and over), so plenty of space for kids to play in the backyard. On top of that, the suburb is going through gentrification. With younger couples and families moving in, there are many home renovations and extensions happening. This family friendly area is transforming into a contemporary suburb. It is still affordable compared to its neighbouring suburbs on the west side of Marmion Avenue. What's more, part of Heathridge is ear-marked for sub-division. The proposal is yet to be approved but is already attracting the attention of investors and local residence who may like to get involved in property development. With the Ocean Reef marina development also in the pipeline, Heathridge is a great place to bring up a family and to invest for the future.

"Our Secret Paradise"

We bought our first home in Heathridge 12yrs ago and have since turned the small 3x1 into a huge 5x2 with 2 car garage and all the mod cons you'd get from a house in Iluka or Ocean Reef (but without the huge mortgage).
We love the quiet streets and the fantastic parks.
People are always friendly when I go jogging with a kind "hello".
Lots of renovations are happening, so the area is getting that more modern looks.
For it's location between the Freeway/Train line and the beach, it's still waay under priced compared to suburbs anywhere else.
We're on the doorstep of Joondalup City and a quick train ride into the Perth CBD.

"Heathridge"

Since I moved in 2008 I have noticed a positive change. More houses are being renovated and done up. They seem to sell quickly as well. Lots of younger couples moving in and redoing gardens etc
Many dining in and out choices, also choice of Supermarkets/deli's. Bus runs throughout suburb taking you to nearby rail stations. Sadly no tavern in Heathridge.. yet.
Easy access to Marmion Ave & Freeway. Close to beach and Joondalup city. Still close to beach.

you wont find a tavern, chemist, fuel station in Heathridge cause the ones that were there got broken in to constantly and those sites now replaced by homeswest, crime rate according to neighborhood watch is high , lots of drug users stealing to support their disgusting habbit

JohnS18

What are you talking about? Heathridge has never had a tavern, fuel station or chemist. I should know I have lived there 30 years and never had a problem with the crime rate you're on about.

leeannec1

There was a fuel station on the corner of Admiral grove & Caridean Street. Was removed about 20 yrs ago. There was a medical centre & pharmacy behind that on Admiral grove , opposite Exodon place. That area is all now low cost housing. I lived in Heathridge for 30 yrs & raised 3 sons there. Never had any problems. Great area to raise a family. It doesnt need a tavern. Johnny has the best bottle-o in Perth. Joondalup & Whitfords have plenty of night life venues. Heathridge doesnt need its own watering hole. Its lovely the way it is.

Agree with leeannec1. I grew up there from 1979 and my parents still live in the same house. There was a Shell petrol station until the late 90s on the corner of Admiral Gove and Caridean, and Doctor's surgeries behind that (Dr Stamopoulos, our family GP for years) and an adjoining chemist. Never a tavern though. Heathridge was the end of civilisation when we first moved there but is really central now. We've had no issues there and the parents are refusing to move for as long as they can.
