Wanting to avoid mozzies move inland Pacific Pines /Oxenford/ Highland Reserve.
The closer to the ocean the better for insects in general.
It is a bit of a trade off. Any where , where there is water and/or sand you will get midgies and mozzies. You just have to know when to go outside to take advantage of the water views.
sun up ( you make sure you have breakfast outside around 8-9am sun down dont go outside until after 7 for the BBQ)
to me its a good trade off for the lifestyle.
you can get mozzies anywhere on the coast.
Saltwater creek and it's associated mangroves aren't the best when it comes to the midgies and mozzies.. however it's a natural waterway that hasn't been manufactured and that's something that I personally love.. It's nothing abit of RID and some citronella candles can't fix.Iif you've been down the waterway you will note that some residents have gone to great expense to keep the little biters out with large mesh structures over the outdoor entertaining area's.
I've lived on salt water creek Helensvale for 8 years and have NOT had problems with midgies or mozzies...... problems with the noise of fish jumping, yes, the other NO
