We have felt very safe here, we are relaxed about not locking doors all the time, and our neighbours are friendly and we look out for each other. I feel safe walking our dog at night, and during the day I fell safe walking around the lake and streets, people will say hello as you walk the streets. Every town and suburb has ratbags and drug users, that’s just the way it is in 2022, but personally I have never felt afraid or unsafe here.
If your talking about Maryborough Victoria then the answer is yes. Very low crime and the small amount that there was is dropping as house prices rise a certain demographic is moving out of town for cheaper places. It’s the type of place where you can go out and leave your door unlocked. People are very friendly and helpful.
