Is 8th Ave (Inglewood border) safe for young families?

Maylands, WA 6051 is located within the Bayswater local government area, part of the Perth (Greater) Region in Western Australia.

Hi Maylands Residents! We are looking at moving into a nice little rental on the Inglewood border - Eighth Ave. We have a young family .. should I be concerned about assault/crime in the area? I've read it's really rough, so I'm worried.

I think it is a really good spot for a young family. I have friends with young children that live on 8th ave and they think it is a nice spot.
