What is the parking (and safety) like on Peninsular Road, Maylands?

Hi, I'm moving to Peninsular Rd, and will maybe have to park my car on the road sometimes, i'm just wondering how safe that would be? Also my girlfriend may need to walk to the train station sometimes around lunch time, so is that going to be dangerous for her? Nights will never be an issue as I will always pick her up.
