Best suburbs in Melbourne under $500,000

Hope this helps first home buyers, but with the average house price in Victoria now over $600,000 there are still alot of people who need to buy under the $500,000 mark.

Here's my take on some of the best suburbs under this price.

1. Greensborough
2. Mill Park
3. Ringwood
4. Montmorency
5. Glenroy/Hadfield
6. Doncaster
7. Warrandyte
8. Ringwood
9. South Morang
10. Epping

Obviously everyone will have different requirements with respect to proximity to family and work but all of the above have quality housing, safe environment (relatively), access to schools and shopping.

What suburbs do you think are best in Melbourne under $500,000?
