Moomba - it needs alot of work

I recently went to the Moomba parade and I must say I was very very disappointed. There were only 6 floats, the rest of the hour long parade was just groups of people marching. Some of best chefs in an open top car, members of our respective ethnic groups and some footballers. Of course the obligatory police and rescue services marching. Thank god for the Chinese dragon which spiced it up a little.

If it means so much to Melbourne how about the State Government putting in some cash - get businesses building their massive floats again. We used to have dozens of really interesting floats - you wanted to see them.
