Streetview is Live!!! Too invasive?

Streetview is finally available in Australia, and as StreetAdvisor has had it in place in the USA for some time now, we were the first ones to have it go live in Australia!! To check out StreetView, just click on the "Browse Map" button attached to any map on the site.

Anyways, what are your thoughts on the new technology? I personally think it is fantastic (but then again I am very bias) and gives a fantastic view of what life might be like on the street before you visit.

Does anyone actually not like it?

Hells no AJ! I love the new StreetView you guys have implemented. Anyone who hates it simply has too much time on their hands to complain, or doesn't understand that the new technology.

I thought it was funny on FoxFM yesterday morning the radio guy said:

"And google have released new technology that let's you SPY on your neighbours". I pissed myself...I can see all the old people shaking in their boots as we speak :)

Seriously though, it's looks fantastic and makes the street reviews you have so mnuch better because you can actually SEE the street now.

I love Street View, great for when I am travelling to another country, I can see where I need to go.

Do you think we will ever get live video, so you can see realtime on any street?

Well AJ I also like the new streetview. As for the controversy well maybe those that complain are so full of themselves that they automatically think that the rest of the world is interested in them and where they live. Get over it I say, I don't care where you live or what car you drive.

in general I think it is ok except for their arrogant indifference to signs forbidding access to private roads. That's unacceptable when they photograph from private property.

I'm in the Albert Park area and think it's fantastic. Over time people people will realize it has absolutely no impact on them and not care about it. I think the media is playing it up bigtime.

Although I do agree with brianward about the private streets, they should not be doing that.
