Video rentals in Melbourne CBD
Does anyone know of anywhere in the Melbourne CBD that does video rentals like a blockbuster or a video ezy? I was dying last night to rent Stargate Atlantis Season 3 (I'm such a nerd I know) and JB was closed. Anyone?

I think you are out of luck there AJ, there aren't many.
But there is a VideoEzy nearby on Victoria Street, attached is a map link on how to get there from Collin Street.

ummm, my video library is called torrents... that hard copy disc stuff is whack, its like so 20th century
WHOOHOOOO!!!! Apple store just announced Movie downloads on iTunes in Australia. Problem half solved :) Now if only you could get Stargate Atlantis on there....
Played with it over the weekend and Apple TV REALLY replaces the need for a video store. It has HD rentals and purchases...im such a convert :)
I too have an Apple TV (the older 40 gig model). It's great. Video stores will be like CD stores -slowly losing business to online stores.
I don't think it's ready yet if you want to own the movie (renting is good). You can download a movie for $18-$22 (extra for HD) but you can only play it on your PC - you cant burn it to a DVD and then take it with you. Having kids that need to take movies everywhere, it's expensive given the DVD alternative.
Must say though - current rental titles are nowhere near as current as what the local Blockbuster Video has. (but this will change)
