Will water restrictions ever be removed?
Melbourne (CBD), VIC 3000 is located within the Melbourne local government area, part of the Melbourne (Greater) Region in Victoria.
Was in the backyard at a friends on the weekend and they had a sprinkler going (running off a bore) and the kids were running through having a great time. Remember those great days when you could have a sprinkler running!
This got my thinking, even when we have a desalination plant and endless water, do you think the government will lift restrictions so we can wash the car, water the garden any time - even fill a pool?
I sure hope so. Interested what everybody else thinks.

The may make it a bit more relaxed but making it too easy to waste water is not a good idea. We can't keep living the way we used to.

Don't hold your breathe melbournefan, with the latest heat wave, there will be no letting up on the water restrictions any time soon.

and the bushfires, and global warming - water is going to be a huge issue for Melboure into the future.
