"The insular peninsular"

This suburb absolutely bleeds this affectionate saying. Cut off from most of Sydney, one road in, one road out. You’ll find little diversity in these parts, and a very opaque community. Steep hills and overpriced houses. Beautiful beaches but then again, every kilometre of cost in australia is beautiful. There’s also a large amount of undisciplined children who roam the streets here.

"Newport - Beaches, Parks & Shopping..... What More Could You Want!"

Newport is a fantastic place to live! Located on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Newport offers a great opportunity to create the ideal work/life mix in a highly sought after area.

Beaches, parks and the commercial/retail hub are only moments and with a wide variety of housing available (units, townhouses and freestanding homes) Newport will satisfy a wide range of buyers.

Take a drive through Newport and the surrounding area and you will instantly fall in love.

"A great place to live"

Newport is a great place to live. One side the ocean and on the other side Pittwater. The greatest thing about Newport is the friendliness of neighbours. You go for a walk in Newport and you'll be greeted by "good morning" or simply a smile. A fabulous place to live - we have some great restaurants as well!!

"Newport the pleasant"

Newport is bounded by Broken Bay to the west, the Pacific Ocean to the east, Bilgola to the north and Mona Vale to the south. It is split by Barrenjoey Road which is the main traffic thoroughfare north / south and has a population just over 9,300 of which 24% are under 18 and 18% are over 60 years old.

The suburb mainly functions as accommodation for professionals or managers between 35 and 60 years old.

There is a medieval style stone castle on Bungan head built in 1919 by a German art dealer.

The thing that I remember most of Newport is the vast number of marinas and boats hanging off the western coast like hair off a mussel. I have fond memories of time spent in the Newport Arms hotel on the corner of Beaconsfield and Kalinya St, holding a coldie and looking out over the water.

Newport Beach is a pleasant spot to spend a summer's day. There is good sand, clean water with a bit of weed in spots. The water gets a bit rough near the cliff on the northern end of the beach, but, overall it is a nice place; just do not forget the sunscreen and the beach umbrella.
