"Ahhh The Serinity"
We have lived here for twenty two years and love the country feel the peace and quite. Everyone is friendly and pleasant. We raised our children here and we think the older style homes and big blocks give it the country town feel. Great for people who want a veggie garden, some fruit trees and a couple of chooks. A much underrated suburb.

One Mile
"Improving all the time"
Area is improving all the time. Seems like the trouble makers are leaving and with the return of the RAAF staff to Amberley good investor opportunities. One Mile has been my home for 3 years with only one small incident. I walk my dogs at night, no problems. Lots of parks, close to west Ipswich shopping, CBD, tennis courts, football ovals, catholic schools and daycare. Quick access to Cunningham and Warrego Hwy. Cafe culture is great in the CBD and super affordable buying.

One Mile
"ugly Ipswich suburb inhabited by the hairy unwashed"
Lived here from 2008 -2011 and then rented out our house from 2011 - 2017. Would not recommend living here. On a weekly basis there were fights in the streets, people chasing people with metal bars abusing each other. Junk left in front yards and on the footpaths and the council do nothing. There is very little pride taken in property. Renting and selling our house was a nightmare as well. Tenants were terrible and intentionally motor oil over new carpet and did not pay rent for months. 0/10. Stay away if you have any pride in yourself and your family.

"Ipswich: Do not move there"
I lived in Ipswich for four years, Sadlier's Crossing, Boovall and One Mile. If you like finding used syringes 50 metres from your front gate, neighbours fighting in the street and attacking each other with bats, being stuck between two neighbours that feud, so they throw empty bottles across your yard at each other, blow themselves up (yes, blow themselves up with petrol), wreck shared fences, collect junk and broken down cars, so that snakes and rodents live under the wrecked bonnets, etc, high crime, hooning in the streets, then by all means move to this town that is nothing more than a centre for Brisbane City rejects.
If you like golf ball bombs being found in the local parks, by all means move to this hole.
If you like your council to leave the CBD and suburbs decay to state, that they are an absolute disgrace, then by all means move to this hell hole.
In closing I wouldn't raise a mongrel dog in Ipswich, let alone a family.

"One Mile is close to everything but people try to know your buisnes"
I have lived in One Mile for 7 years while the area is close to CBD the neighbourhood spirit could be better. Can't let kids play out in backyard without neighbour saying why are you playing out here. Can't talk to one lot of neighbours without another lot getting jealous. Get falsely accused by an unmedicated neighbour who constantly give insults when hubby is minding his own buisness. A lot of cats have been going missing from the area it appears that thier is a cat hater in the area as the cats just vanish don't even end up in the pound. Drug use is pretty common in the area if you don't do drugs you stand out . There are some friendly people around but unfortunatly it varies from street to street Fair street is one of the most unfriendly places I've lived at. The next street over is pretty quiet and was mostly ok. I would recommend One Mile for singles or retirees.
