"Ipswich: Do not go there."
I lived in Ipswich for four years, Sadlier's Crossing, Boovall and One Mile. If you like finding used syringes 50 metres from your front gate, neighbours fighting in the street and attacking each other with bats, being stuck between two neighbours that feud, so they throw empty bottles across your yard at each other, blow themselves up (yes, blow themselves up with petrol), wreck shared fences, collect junk and broken down cars, so that snakes and rodents live under the wrecked bonnets, etc, high crime, hooning in the streets, then by all means move to this town that is nothing more than a centre for Brisbane City rejects.
If you like golf ball bombs being found in the local parks, by all means move to this hole.
If you like your council to leave the CBD and suburbs decay to state, that they are an absolute disgrace, then by all means move to this hell hole.
In closing I wouldn't raise a mongrel dog in Ipswich, let alone a family.
Not great for
- Bogans
- High crime
- Used syringes
- Some poor planning
- Lappers
I lived in Booval, Had some druggies try and break into my son's room, found used syringes on the foot path 50 metres from our house, loved getting asked for a few dollars every time we walked to Booval fair or getting abused at the train station. * star.
Lol @ Vineyard Street called Goonbag street , I used to call Fair street Sunnyvale lol
So where would you recommend peterbgg? Can you recommend a place that meets your high expectations - No Crime, No Drugs, No Hoons, No Bad Neighbours, No Beggars, No Aggro - where is this Utopia found?
What do you expect when you choose to live in some of the worst suburbs in Ipswich? No one moves to Booval and One Mike and expect to have a event free life. Thats like moving to Inala in Brisbane and writing off the whole city.
Mile*
Hi peterbgg which suburb do u live now. I was considering moving to ipswich because of the affordability but these reviews are pretty bad about ipswich.
Your choice to live in the worst suburbs! Says more about you than Ipswich, I lived centrally for a year and enjoyed it, no grief whatsoever, my 2 small children and I felt safe, if you create drama or put out that vibe that's exactly what you attract no matter where you go.
Completely true, I lived here. Leichhardt, six months was enough for me. Both neighbours had front lawns full of broken down cars and watched my every move as they sat out front drinking beer swearing at their kids. Never felt so unsafe, was sure Id come home from work to find my house robbed. Kept my cat indoors as witnessed drunk youths kicking cats. Drunk people in the supermarket. Trashy place.
hi guys how is darling street we are looking for an investment property
Darling Street is good.
Hi people how is Ludwig street? Planning to buy an investment property

This has not been my experience and I live here now. Places change. Sounds like One Mile has changed since you were there.
I've lived in One Mile and now Leichhardt and have to agree with you. While there are some good people the bad outlays the good. When I first moved here I found there were so many agro people.. Especially in areas like Bell street. I think Brassall and Booval are probably the only places in Ipswich worth moving to.
