There is always work if you are willing to what ever it takes. There are skills shortages in Orange, so if you have suitable skills in finance, health, mining, accounting to name a few there are many opportunities. IF you have a certain skill set it would be a good idea to get in touch with local recruitment agencies to see if they can place you somewhere your training will be best suited.
