Hello KimK1,

Ormeau is very much a family orientated area. It has several family friendly events held each year and its a lovely community to be apart of. There is an Easter event for kids, the Annual Ormeau Fair in August and Christmas Carols at the end of the year, just to name a few - all held in Ormeau.
There are also many great schools in Ormeau and it very much a family area as confirmed by the last Census(2011).
Hope this helps and you find Ormeau a wonderful spot to live if you decide to settle down here, I'm sure you wont be disappointed.

Paul Fraumano.

We have lived in many places in Brisbane and Gold Coast over the years but we have to say it - Ormeau is the best! We have lived here for 8+ years and have two little kids. If you are looking for a family suburb, we highly recommend Ormeau. We live in Norfolk village which is walking distance to shops, child care, park and the local tavern. We love the slightly bigger block size in Norfolk as the kids have ample space to run around.
