Park Road, Glen Iris, VIC 3146

Having lived here permanently for 37 years and brought up 2 children, I have to say it is a great area. We live right on the park so there are always trees and birds to look at and listen to. The freeway is 1 minute from our doorstep and the city is just 11 kms away. Walking along Gardiners creek is like being in the countryside. Camberwell, Malvern, Chadstone, Ashburton are just a few of the wonderful shopping precints near here. Public transport is just across the park for the tram or over the bridge for the train. My mothers family settled here from Scotland in 1925 when she was 4 years old. So, the house has always been in the family. Up till the last 10 years, everybody knew everyone, but, as people get busy, they don't tend to take the time to say "Hello". But it is a great place to live!
