Reviews of High Street, Glen Iris
"A tree change with city access"
I’ve chosen to build my apartment at Highpark on High Street because of its dual complimentary features. Location sees it a short walk to tram, train and into shopping, theatre and dining of Melb cbd, then look out the windows, sit on the balcony or step outside your door and you are in the lush greenery of the natural habitat of Gardiners creek trail. Inspired by a visit to Brookdale California and the lush redwood tree nestled neighbourhoods, I wanted to create that same healing and refreshing feeling of the woods in beautiful glen iris - High Street let me do this…
"Right in the thick of it!"
This spot in Glen Iris on High Street and the corner of the beautiful treed lined Scott Grove, is in an absolute perfect location! It's wedged between amazing cafes, wines bars, breweries, restaurants and parks in every direction possible! It's literally one minute drive to the Monash Fwy entrance and has many walking tracks nearby for all those fitness enthusiasts. Walk to the station in five minutes and have the trams at your doorstep for a quick trip into main street Armadale or for Chapel Steet fun. You cannot go wrong with this kind of convenience!

"Changing streetscape"
High Street Glen Iris is a fascinating street that runs from the corner of Tooronga Road ,where our Belle Property Glen Iris office is located and runs through until Summerhill Road . It is a street that helps our community move East - West to home, school, work and play. It runs over the M1 and over the Glen Waverley train service with Glen Iris train station abutting High Street. The street contains many beautiful period 1920's office on large family allotments. The street has changed rapidly with apartment complexes replacing these homes between Burke and Tooronga Roads. Glen Iris is such a beautiful neighborhood and the demand is growing hence the change in streetscape from the main arteries including High Street.

"GREAT PLACE FOR CAFE'S AND SHOPPING"
High Street is a long street which runs through several inner suburbs starting at Prahran moving through Toorak and Armadale and ending with Glen Iris.
It begins from the beautiful St Kilda Boulevard intersecting with 'happening' Chapel Street.
There is no need to worry about getting from A to B as there is a tram-line right through High street up to the city and Carlton and suburbs.
It boasts multiple shopping strips offering wonderful culinary delights with 'A' class restaurants in the more affluent sections and funky cafes catering to every taste; too numerous to mention.
Clothing shops selling designer fashions such as Carla Zampatti, Thomeray and Stitches to name a few.
Art galleries, library, health centres, medical specialists and a multitude of retail outlets.
The side streets off High street in the Armadale stretch are worth a drive through as they contain many Grand Victorian and Edwardian homes.

ps. I used my friend Lizzie's computer to add my comment as I am travelling .
Hi Lizzie,
Good to see you are getting other people on StreetAdvisor to spread the wealth of information. I noticed your friend is from Brazil as well. StreetAdvisor is in Brazil as well, would be great to get some streets covered over there as well :)

I am a visitor from Brazil and I think High Street Glen Iris is beautiful and I am thinking of staying here and definately will look for a property close to Chapel Street. chiaou
