Reviews of Pickles Street, Albert Park
"Great Location but a noisy"
Pickles Street in Port Melbourne is one of the main streets in the suburb. It connects the northern end of Bay Street (the Crockford St end) to the beautiful Beaconsfield Parade, and separates Port Melbourne from Albert Park. It terms of location, obviously most streets in port melbourne rate through the roof being so close to the beach and so close to the city.
Pickles Street is however is a very big thoroughfare for traffic as it is a faster alternative to driving down Bay Street. This makes noise levels in the street quite high, and you always get motorcycles hooning down the street.
Some nice trees and greenery line the street, and there some very stylish apartment complexes on the corner of Rouse St. Some smaller townhouses could use some redevelopment in certain parts, and would probably make a great investment as a fixer-upper.
Finally the nightlife in the immediate area is fantastic, with all the major bars and clubs are within walking distance such as The Pier Hotel, The London Hotel, Ocean Blue Nightclub and Bar and the all the pubs on Bay Street are so close.
Overall, great location but a bit noisy.
