Reviews of Punchbowl, TAS

"Its heart is Green!"

This stunning little suburb is so underrated by locals! Its heart is one of the most stunning parks the city has to offer, with large green spaces, great play areas for children and beautiful gardens. The suburb is flat and located within 5 minutes of about everything.

Looking for a home in Punchbowl?

"Tranquil Suburb"

Punchbowl is located just 5 minutes from Launceston and is home to the Punchbowl Reserve, a lovely park for picnics, bbqs and social gatherings. It is a small, quiet suburb with a local school and mostly character homes, however there are now subdivisions where new builds are occurring. This suburb could suit buyers and renters from all walks of life.

"Great place to live"

Punchbowl is a great place to live, it is a popular spot for a picnic, feeding ducks, leisurely walks and close to shops, schools, doctors, hairdressers etc.. (too many things to list) bus route right through the middle of Punchbowl. Great school in the suburb which goes hand in hand with the child friendly place that Punchbowl is. Quiet and friendly neighbours. Between Punchbowl and Kings Meadows is a lovely walk along the river bank.... Yes I said riverbank, at the bottom of Blamey Road, there is a lovely river that flow from Kingsmeadows and overlooks the golf course on the other side, there is plenty of wildlife that surrounds this river that you almost forget where you are. Great spot for the dog too to cool off.... So when you are looking for an affordable house in a great area, please stop and smell the roses that grow in many a front yard in Punchbowl, talk to the people and fall in love with a fantastic place.

Great for

  • There are lots of Pros to Punchbowl, Come visit and see for yourself.

Not great for

  • I cannot think of anything... other than the odd goverment housing but they usually stick to themselves.
  • The odd dog barking but you get that everywhere
  • Not to sure about the pending subdivision but could be a goldmine and boost the area.

"Punchbowl is home to the Fantastic Punchbowl Reserve"

Punchbowl is known for its fantastic reserve. With roomm to play a game of cricket in the Summer or kick a Footy in winter, families love to spend time at the reserve. Weddings are often held hear become of the beautiful gardens and leafy setting. There is also a lake which is home to friendly ducks who love to be feed! Very clean BBQ facilities means that putting a prawn on the Barbie is covered. Punchbowl also has its own primary school the Punchbowl Primary School.
