Reviews of Redan, VIC

"So close to CBD but lower house prices"

Redan is a great suburb for those wishing to have super quick access to Ballarat CBD without paying the CBD prices. Many areas of Redan are walking distance to CBD. Great Primary and secondary schools and lots of shops and supermarkets so you don't need to go into CBD if you choose not to. Great family location. "Great little pocket of Ballarat"

Family and I moved here 5 years ago. It's a lovely suburb of Ballarat and withing walking distance to the CBD. Everything at your fingertips, quiet, friendly people, and right next to the Pony club which my daughter loves. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else, except on the lake maybe but Redan is still relatively affordable (for now) though prices have spiked a fair bit over the past 12 months and expect this will continue.

"Tree Lined Suburb right next to Ballarat CBD"

I've lived in Redan for two years now having moved from Melbourne for a more peaceful life and to continue my career in Information Technology. Many of the streets are tree lined and lovely, with a mix of modern and old houses. It's got some great shopping close by with an array of supermarkets, restaurants, parks, schools and so much more. We love living here and will never go back to Melbourne. It's so quiet at night and the air is so fresh and particularly noticeable in comparison with Melbourne suburbs. It retains a country feel to it with all the conveniences you could possibly need and all within a short drive (with little to no traffic). There is some traffic at peak times but you're never stationery for too long. Redan is one of the better suburbs of Ballarat, and extremely great value when buying property which leaves huge upside in terms of investment. The state government has recently announced huge spend for a range of infrastructure and projects that will generate 1000's of jobs so the whole region is primed for considerable growth. We live right at the back of Victoria Park which is just superb for walking and bike riding. It's absolutely huge and has a small lake with fish, and we're just a small drive to Lake Wendouree. I would recommend Redan for families, retirees and couples. You'll love it!

"Handy to CBD with good local facilities"

A good mix of building examples from quaint cottages to newer BVs. Land size is great so you have space between neighbours. Only a long walk or short drive to CBD. Great buying here!
