Gateway southbound and exit 31 is quickest, painful I know, but don't be tempted to take earlier exits, it never works, just stay in the jam

Absolutely via the Gateway Bridge. Then Northern Suburbs exit, Southern Cross Way (Old Gateway Motorway), & then Toombul Road Exit and Left into Nudgee Road and you are in Hendra.
You will need a Toll account though through Govia.
