Private or Public School in the Redlands area??

If you like peaceful and bayside lifestyle and have young children then Victoria Point as that is the "hub" for families such as ours. Great shops within easy drive/walk/bike ride with child friendly facilities such as a inexpensive cinema ($4.50 for a person under 18) and library with a great children's range of books and area. Lots of cafe and bistro choice. Primary Schools: State Viccie Point Primary and Private: St. Williams and Faith Lutheran. We sent our then 5 year old daughter to Thornlands State Primary as it was the best choice for her. My advice: because there are many good schools, both state and private, in the Redlands - wait until you get there to decide. You need to visit a school to ascertain whether the school is right for your child. By way of example, our daughter is academic so we are sending her to Faith Lutheran College for secondary school because they have a rigorous academic programme and some music for her musical interests. Our son is not academic, so when the time comes, he may not be going to Faith Lutheran College. For him, a school with many VET programmes would be his best option so we would look at sending him perhaps to Victoria Point High School. As well, he is passionate about Rugby and VPSH has a rugby excellence programme. Just depends on the child and the fit.
You will find the lifestyle offered by all the bayside areas you are thinking about to accommodate each of the areas you have advised that are important to you. With regard to schools try our link below for both the private and state schools. http://raywhitecleveland.com.au/our-community/cleveland-at-a-glance/
