If I moved to Russell island can I take my own boat to work at Gold Coast everyday no problem?

One guy works full tine and commutes regularly travels from wahine dr boat ramp Russell Island (all tide access) to Horizon Shores Marina. 10-15min trip. Too easy.

Yes you can, and there is at least one guy who does. You would probably launch at the ramp on the end of Wahine drive and just run straight down the Canaipa passage. One key consideration will be weather of course. Everything is great when it is calm, clear, and 28 degrees. It is a bit different when it is blowing a gale, raining or misty, or worse, all three. Toss a freezing day into the mix and you might find yourself thinking this was a really bad plan. Speedboats are calm, fine weather machines. Anything other than that, they are really hard going. FD
